Easter and My Birthday.

Sorry I'm posting this a little late, but this past week was just very busy.

Easter turned out to be a Beautiful day this year. We had 75 degree weather and sunshine, which is pretty rare in St. Louis, because most of the time its 50 degrees and raining on Easter. We went to church and then went to my parents' house to BBQ and spend time with family. Below are just a few pictures from Easter day. Tomorrow Jake and I are celebrating Easter with his mom, his 2 brothers and their families. I will have to post more pictures of that on Monday.

Speaking of Monday... Thats my 29th Birthday!!! We celebrated mine and my Dad's birthday (his b-day is tomorrow) this past Friday night with family. We had a great time together.

Bulletin Boards for our Toddler Class at Church

My sister and I teach the toddler class at our church. We have 3 big bulletin boards in our classroom and since we've gotten the cricut, we've had so much fun decorated them. We wanted to change out our boards for Easter/Spring so we got some ideas online and put our cricuts to work this past Saturday. Here is what we came up with! Thanks for looking!

For this bulletin board we used our cricuts to cut out the letters (Pooh Font) and the bees (Walk in my Garden)

For this bulletin board we used Doodlecharms for the sunshine, Graphically Speaking for the clouds, Pooh Font for the title and Every Day Paper Dolls for the kites.

For this bulletin board we once again used the Pooh Font for the title. We cut out the popcorn kernels using the Make the Cut software (each piece of popcorn has one of the kids in our class' name on it along with the top two pieces having mine and my sisters names on them). The popcorn box was hand made by my sister and we used scrunched up white tissue paper for the popcorn in the box and just used a yellow marker to make it look buttery.

Practical Scrappers Markers Challenge

Our challenge for this week was to use markers of any kind. I used them to color this cute little Easter digi stamp on my card. I don't often make cards but I had a lot of fun with this one. Thanks for looking!!

Practical Scrappers weekly challenge

Our DT challenge for this week was to use something we've had in our stash for over a year. I had been collecting paper to use for a scrapbook I was making of my nephew. I hadn't scrapbooked in his album for a while so I thought I'd use some of the paper I had been saving and do a page for his book. I've had this blue paper for over a year and the picture of him is 2 or so years old. The pens I used to doodle are way over a year old. The tracks and train are from the Everyday Paper Dolls cartridge and the title is from the Don Juan cartridge. Thanks for looking.

Practical Scrappers Chipboard Challenge

This weeks DT Challenge at http://www.practicalscrappers.com/ is to use Chipboard. We also had a challenge for the month of March to use a digital stamp from http://thestampingboutique.com/ that was given to us by our DT leader. So I used both challenges for this layout. These pictures are of my nephew Landon playing in the snow earlier this year in Jan. These pictures were fun to scrapbook. I used the Make the Cut software for the title, other than the two green chipboard letters that I had in my stash. I also used MTC to cut out the snowflakes. Thanks for looking!! :-)
A close up of the stamp!!

Layouts I made while at a crop on Saturday.

Here are my layouts from the crop I went to this past Saturday.

For this layout I used Make the Cut to cut out the title and the birds.
Cricut Carts. used: Graphically Speaking for the sunshine and clouds, EDPD for the little boy, George for the pumpkins, WIMG for the sign and Plantin Schoolbook for the grass.
I used the MTC software for all the cuts on this layout.
Cricut Carts. used: George for the pumpkins and Stretch Your Imagination for the vine (which is actually a flourish). I used the MTC software for all the other cuts on this layout.

Today was GREAT!!

Its 11:00 p.m., Saturday night, and I just got home about an hour ago from an all day Crop!! I had a great time scrapbooking with my Mom, Sister Ashlee and a couple of our friends. Sadly, I only got 3 layouts done today, but all three turned out pretty cute ;-), (if I do say so myself). I will post the layouts in the next couple of days. Just thought I'd share my day since I had such a great time. Hope everyone is having a great weekend. Its off to bed for me. Unfortunately, its actually midnight because of day light savings time so I better get myself in bed so I can get up for church in the morning. Goodnight!
