Practical Scrappers weekly challenge

Our DT challenge for this week was to use something we've had in our stash for over a year. I had been collecting paper to use for a scrapbook I was making of my nephew. I hadn't scrapbooked in his album for a while so I thought I'd use some of the paper I had been saving and do a page for his book. I've had this blue paper for over a year and the picture of him is 2 or so years old. The pens I used to doodle are way over a year old. The tracks and train are from the Everyday Paper Dolls cartridge and the title is from the Don Juan cartridge. Thanks for looking.

Practical Scrappers Chipboard Challenge

This weeks DT Challenge at http://www.practicalscrappers.com/ is to use Chipboard. We also had a challenge for the month of March to use a digital stamp from http://thestampingboutique.com/ that was given to us by our DT leader. So I used both challenges for this layout. These pictures are of my nephew Landon playing in the snow earlier this year in Jan. These pictures were fun to scrapbook. I used the Make the Cut software for the title, other than the two green chipboard letters that I had in my stash. I also used MTC to cut out the snowflakes. Thanks for looking!! :-)

Layouts I made while at a crop on Saturday.

Here are my layouts from the crop I went to this past Saturday.

For this layout I used Make the Cut to cut out the title and the birds.
Cricut Carts. used: Graphically Speaking for the sunshine and clouds, EDPD for the little boy, George for the pumpkins, WIMG for the sign and Plantin Schoolbook for the grass.
I used the MTC software for all the cuts on this layout.
Cricut Carts. used: George for the pumpkins and Stretch Your Imagination for the vine (which is actually a flourish). I used the MTC software for all the other cuts on this layout.

Today was GREAT!!

Its 11:00 p.m., Saturday night, and I just got home about an hour ago from an all day Crop!! I had a great time scrapbooking with my Mom, Sister Ashlee and a couple of our friends. Sadly, I only got 3 layouts done today, but all three turned out pretty cute ;-), (if I do say so myself). I will post the layouts in the next couple of days. Just thought I'd share my day since I had such a great time. Hope everyone is having a great weekend. Its off to bed for me. Unfortunately, its actually midnight because of day light savings time so I better get myself in bed so I can get up for church in the morning. Goodnight!

Practical Scrappers White Pen/Marker Challenge

This week's challenge at Practial Scrappers was to use a white pen or marker on a project. I love using my white pen so I really enjoyed this challenge. These pictures I've used on this layout are from our annual church harvest fest/bonfire. We always have a huge bonfire and then several little fire pits for roasting hot dogs and marshmallows. These pictures are of some of the kids roasting marshmallows. I used the Ravie font and my MTC to cut out the title. I also used MTC for the large background shape and for the little marshmallow sticks. The campfire is from the Going Places Cricut Cartridge. Thanks for looking!!

When Bears Attack

This was a layout and glass block light that I made for my cousin Travis' 18th Birthday this past week. He is the lead singer/screamer in a Christian rock/screamo band. Their band is called "When Bears Attack". I used the latest sketch at Practical Scrappers to make this layout. I used their band logo and my Make the Cut program to cut out the title. The spotlights at the top were just a picture I found online that I turned into a MTC file and then the font at the bottom that I used for the bible verse is a font I found online and cut using Make the Cut. Unfortunately, I can't remember what font it was. The "Hard Core" crosses are from the Indie Art cricut cartridge. Thanks for looking.

Fun @ The Harvest Fest

The DT challenge at Practical Scrappers this week was to use Ink/Chalk on a project. I used some brown chalk made by ColorBox on all my cuts. I love chalk and use it on pretty much every layout I make. I made this layout based on a sketch at SOUS's and I also scraplifted a couple of ideas from Nanne Harry's take on the sketch. She does such great work!! I used Make the Cut to cut out the large scalloped circle and circle inside the scalloped circle. I also used it to cut out the scalloped square behind the middle picture. I used George and DS to make the pumpkins and the green scalloped border , Zooballoo for the vines and Don Juan for the title. Thanks for looking.

Harvest Fest Hay Ride

This is a layout I did last night. Its of pictures from the hayride at our church harvest fest this past year. Its such a fun evening. For this layout I used my Make the Cut program and my cricut to cut everything out. I also used the Threading Water punch for the brown scalloped edge. It was perfect for this layout. Thanks for looking.
