Jackson at 6 months old.

Jackson is, without a doubt, the best thing thats ever happened to me! I can't even begin to describe how much I love this little boy. He is so sweet and so happy and I just love him to pieces. Being his mommy is so fun and I love every minute of it.

Jackson is getting so big!! I can't believe he's six months old already. It just doesn't seem possible! He had his six month check up this past Saturday and he weighed a whopping 20 pounds!! No wonder my arms hurt!! He's in the 90th percentile on weight and length. Its getting to the point where I can hardly carry him in his car-seat/pumpkin seat. He had to get three shots, but only cried for a short time. The doctor said everything looked great. He's a healthy boy and I couldn't be happier. The doctor did say it looked like Jackson had a tooth on the bottom that might be coming in soon. I'm gonna miss that gummy grin, but I'm also looking forward to those 2 little bottom teeth coming through. I just love baby smiles with those 2 bottom teeth.

Here he is at the pediatrician's office Saturday. ☺

He's started army crawling and getting up on his hands and knees this past week, so I know it won't be long before he's actually crawling around. On one hand I'm excited about him crawling, but I know he will then be into everything, which is not so exciting.

He's eating 6 ounce bottles every 4 hours still and then eating a fruit and some oatmeal/baby rice cereal for breakfast, usually a veggie for lunch and sometimes a veggie for dinner. He loves everything we've given him, except green beans. So we've been mixing the green beans with a fruit and he eats them with no problems that way. ☺

Daddy feeding Jackson his lunch. ♥

Jackson loves bath time! I've taken the newborn sling out of the baby tub and he's sitting up and splashing around. I usually put a couple toys in there for him to play with and he has so much fun. He got mad at me the other day because I was getting in the way of play time when I was washing him. ☺ I'm so glad he loves his bath. I hope that he loves the pool too. I can't wait to take him swimming this summer.

Jackson in his bath tub. ☺

I think he's starting to grow out of the Fischer Price Rock and Play Sleeper. He had been sleeping in that a majority of nights, but here lately he's learned how to roll over and almost fall out of it, so the last 2 nights I've worked hard to keep him in his crib all night. Its not easy! He was doing well in his crib right before he got an ear infection and then I started putting him in our room again to keep him elevated. Now its hard getting him to sleep in his crib because he's been so used to just falling asleep in his little rock and play sleeper in our room. But I've been determined to get him back in his crib now that he's feeling better, so we're making a little progress each night.

He loves playing with all his toys now and he especially loves the remote control and our cell phones. We actually have to hide them so he doesn't see them or else he wants them and will sometimes cry for them. While at Target this past week, I bought him a toy remote control! He loves it.
Jackson playing with his new remote control toy.

He's wearing some 9 month clothes, but mostly 12 and even some 18 month clothes!! He's in size FOUR diapers! He really is a big boy. After seeing him next to other babies his age, it really makes me realize just how big he is. His doctor said most babies gain about 2 pounds in 6 weeks where he gained 3! He's not overweight, just solid!

He loves to give kisses and its the sweetest thing ever. He grabs a hold of your face and pulls you close with his mouth open wide. He pulls hard but kisses gentle, its soooo sweet!

He just loves Jake. My mom says she's not sure which ones more excited to see Daddy in the evenings, the dogs or Jackson. He just lights up everytime he sees Jake. I love it!

Jackson,
Mommy and Daddy love you so much and feel so blessed to have you in our lives! You are such a sweet boy and we are having so much fun watching you grow and learn!

Jackson is 26 Weeks Old!

I'm really late in posting this, (since Jackson is actually 27 weeks old now). But here are Jackson's 26 week pictures. I'll try and post his 27 week pictures tomorrow. :-) He went to the Dr. this past Saturday, more on that later. ☺

Embrace the Camera

Its Thursday, and time for Embrace the Camera

I'm linking up with Emily at The Anderson Crew for Embrace the Camera.

Embrace the Camera is where you'll take a picture of YOU with your kids, spouse, friends, etc. The point of embrace the camera is to get in front of the camera and to document a bit of yourself.

While we were doing our little photo shoot with the boys on Monday, I asked my sister to take a few pictures of Jackson and I. We got a couple cute ones, so I thought I'd share them for "Embrace the Camera"

My busy, but great weekend!

Our weekend was super busy, but super fun and productive!!

Friday night, after work, we went over to our friends, Chris and Holly's house for a visit. We had a lot of fun catching up. ☺

Then Saturday morning, I met up with my mom and my sister to go get our tattoos. Saturday, April 21st, was the one year anniversary of the passing of my sweet Grammy. In honor of her, several of my family members have gotten hummingbird tattoos. We all talked about it just a few days after her passing, but my sister and I were pregnant, so she and I had to wait. My mom waited with us and the three of us decided to get them on the one year anniversary. I'm so glad we did it together and got them on the day we did. It makes the tattoo even that much more special. My sister and I got the same tattoo and the same artist tattooed both of us. We got the tattoo in the same place too, on the top of our foot. Here is a picture of mine.

I'm not going to lie to you. It hurt like HECK!! I have 2 other tattoos and neither of them hurt anywhere near as bad as this one. It didn't help that I was driving us that day and I got it on the top of my right foot. Cruise control was my BFF that day! ☺ But I'm super happy I got it on my foot. I love it!!

My Grammy loved hummingbirds, which is why we all chose to get a hummingbird tattoos. My Papa Reg (Grammy's husband), my Uncle and my cousin have all gotten hummingbird tattoos in her honor. The "Grammy" on my tattoo is actually my Grammy's handwriting. I had a card from her from several years ago that had her signature on it. I took it to the tattoo shop with me and they were able to trace it and add it to the tattoo. I LOVE it!!

My mom got a similar hummingbird with a banner reading "Mom" in my Grammy's actual handwriting. She too had a card with my Grammy's signature of "Mom" on it. She incorporated that into her tattoo as well. She got hers on the inside of her ankle. Heres a picture.

The rest of the weekend was spent much like any other. Hanging out with family, a little shopping, some cleaning and church on Sunday.

I was off work yesterday, so my sister and I had planned to take our boys' pictures at a park that day. Jackson and Mason are both 6 months old now and Landon just turned 5 years old this month. So they all needed updated pictures. Thankfully the weather cooperated and we got some great shots. My mom came along to help us and I'm so glad she did. I don't think we could have done it without her help. We ended up taking over 500 pictures. I then narrowed them down to 100 and here are a few of my favorites. Thanks again Holly, for lending us your awesome camera!

I did a little "pic-monkey" photo editing on this photo below.

Sweet Mason.

I love this smile.

I just adore his blue eyes.

A couple cute pictures of the three boys.

I love this picture.

This is the same picture, with a little "picmonkey" editing done to it.

He looks so old in this picture.

I'm in love with these tie pictures! They're so cute!

So that was my long, fun weekend! I hope yours was great as well.

Embrace the Camera

Its a beautiful Thursday here in the STL!! I wish I was outside enjoying the weather with my sweet boy, instead of being stuck in this stupid office. :-(

Oh well.

I'm linking up with Emily at The Anderson Crew for Embrace the Camera.

Embrace the Camera is where you'll take a picture of YOU with your kids, spouse, friends, etc. the point of embrace the camera is to get in front of the camera and to document a bit of yourself.

Here are a few pictures I took of Jackson and I this past week. I just downloaded Instagram recently and I'm having so much fun with it! You can find these pictures there too.

This first picture, Jake took of Jackson and I on my birthday last Thursday.

The next three I took last night just hanging out at home with Jackson. The color isn't great on any of them, but oh well. :-)

And I also just downloaded the PhotoGrid app, which is a lot of fun too.

Oh How Pinteresting Wednesday!

Jackson will be six months old on Friday, and my sister's son Mason just turned six months old on April 8th. She and were talking the other day about how expensive it is going to get their pictures taken every 3 months, and how we could maybe try and take some pictures of them ourselves, at a park, and see how they turn out. We are going to go on Monday, since I'm off work and take some pictures of our boys. She has a nice camera and has actually taken some really cute pictures of her oldest son, Landon.

I looked on Pinterest... (where else) for some 6 month photo ideas. Here are some of my favorites that I'd like to try with Jackson.

I love the idea of using a tie and no shirt. I'm going to have to pick up a kids tie this weekend.

The park we're going to actually has a bench just like this.

We actually have this exact basket that we used for Jackson's newborn pictures that we took with my sister's camera.

My sister also has a little rocking chair she's going to bring to use for some of the photos.

I love these next 2 because Jackson hasn't mastered sitting up by himself quite yet.

I really hope we can get some cute pictures and that the weather cooperates.
