Happy Friday!

One
I set up a little impromptu Valentines Day photo session for the kiddos last week and I'm so happy I did. It's always a lot of work to do these little sessions. My kids are not the most cooperative when it comes to being in front of the camera, but with bribery, I can usually get them to cooperate for about 5 seconds, Ha! Regardless, I was able to get some keepers so it was a success.

Two
We took a little road trip last weekend to Indianapolis to visit their amazing Children's Museum. We had so much fun, despite the ice storm that was hitting St. Louis as we were leaving Friday. We debated back and forth on whether we should even go, but ended up going for it and I'm really glad we did. The roads were fine and we had a great time.

We left Friday, got to the hotel, ordered pizza, swam in the indoor pool and headed to bed. Saturday we got up and spent the whole day at the museum. We basically went because Disney Jr. has a Doc McStuffins exhibit that is traveling to different states and I think it's safe to say that Avery is obsessed with Doc McStuffins. The first place that the exhibit was at was The Children's Museum of Indianapolis and it happens to be the closest place that the exhibit will be to us. It was great because there were 5 floors of fun for the kids to experience, so it wasn't just all for Avery, there was plenty to do for Jackson there too. If you ever get the chance to go, I highly recommend this museum. The museum was open from 10:00 to 5:00 and we were there from open til around 4:00 when the kids started getting beyond crabby. Avery was so beat that she was practically asleep before we got out of the parking garage. Ha.

We spent the rest of the evening eating dinner and swimming in the indoor pool again. The kids loved being able to swim. We got up the next morning, had breakfast and then headed home. It was such a fun little trip.

Three
Avery had her first dentist appointment last week and we tried a new dentist for the kids. Jackson had only been one other time and it was to our dentist, which didn't go so well. So I searched for a good pediatric dentist and found one somewhat close to home. It is a really nice office and both of the kids did great.

Four
I finally finished up decorating my dining room buffet for Valentines Day. This is such a fun space to decorate for each holiday. Some of the things I had already, but a lot is new and I love the way it turned out. The banner, "LOVE" and candy dishes are new from Target, the runner is also from Target, but I got it several years ago. The white frames I picked up from Walmart and the candle holders are all things I already had. The valentines day printable in the left frame was found here.

Five
One week from tomorrow we'll be leaving on a jet plane for a week of fun in the sun in Arizona. I can't wait. This will be our third trip to visit our family friend, Jim, who lives in Phoenix. Jake's mom is going with us again and this will be Avery's first trip there and her first plane ride. We always go on a little road trip while we're there. The first year we visited Tombstone and the second year we drove out to California to visit Disneyland and the Santa Monica Pier. Last year we didn't get to go because we were getting ready to move into our house, so we're excited to go back this year. This time around our little road trip will be to visit the Grand Canyon, Monument Valley and The Four Corners! It should be a great trip and we're all really looking forward to it!

Have a Great Weekend!!

One
I recently signed up for ipsy and I'm anxiously awaiting my first bag. I have been using the same old make-up for years now and am ready for a change. I have no idea even where to start though, so I thought I'd sign up for ipsy and try out some new products. :-) You can check out ipsy by clicking here.

Two
I got tickets for Avery and I to go to an event that's coming to St. Louis in February called the Fairytale Ball. Basically it's all the Disney Princesses in one place and we'll be able to meet them all, dance with them, do different crafts and just have a really awesome girls day together. I haven't told her about it yet. I think I'll just wait and tell her the day of. I don't know which one of us will have more fun. She's really gotten in to the movie Frozen and the first hour of the event is for VIP (which of course we had to pay extra for) and it's a whole hour with Elsa and Anna! I can't wait to see Avery's face when we get there and she sees all the princesses!!

Three
I recently ordered a new canvas of our latest family picture and I love it. It's from Easy Canvas Prints. They have such great deals and I think I got it for 85% off!!!

Four
I never got around to sharing this picture of the kiddos before Christmas, so I thought I'd share it now since I love it so much! #allthehearteyes

Five
I made these Apple Pie Taquitos for our Christmas Eve get-to-gether with family and they were really good and so easy to make!

Have a great weekend!
