Happy Birthday Avery!

Happy Birthday to my most favorite little girl! I can't believe 3 years have passed so quickly.

You are such a precious gift from God and I am so proud to be your mommy. You have grown so much over this last year! You started your first year of preschool and have been doing so great! You also just recently potty-trained, which I am so proud of you for.

You are sweet and spunky and bring so much joy to our lives. You are my little side-kick and definitely a mommy's girl. You still love for me to rock you in the rocking chair before bed and you love for me to read you stories. You always want me to carry you around even though you're starting to get a little heavy. You say "I wanna hold you" and reach your arms up to me for me to hold you.

You love your big brother and you get along great, for the most part. You guys are best buddies, which makes me so happy. You love to play outside with the neighbors and you love spending time with your cousins any chance you get. You love going to Grandma's house and you love going shopping with Maw Maw. You love helping Papa with the latest house project and you're Daddy's Sugar all the way.

You love to play with dolls, play with play-doh and color. You love to go to the park and swing and you love jumping on the trampoline in the back-yard. You love watching Doc McStuffins, Frozen and Finding Dory and you love to dress up in your princess gowns or in your Doc McStuffins doctor's coat. You love candy and junk food, but you also like yogurt and vegetables so I can't complain too much.

You are very polite and always say please and thank you.  You love to sing and dance and I absolutely love to hear you sing. You're very much a girly girl, but you definitely don't mind getting dirty!

You are such a fun loving and silly girl. You make me laugh all the time and say the funniest things. You're so smart too and are so very independent. You want to do everything for yourself and often say "I want to do it first!" Your favorite color is pink (again, such a girly girl). You say you want to be a doctor when you grow up, and though you're very young to decide that now, I do think you have the determination to be whatever you want to be.

I absolutely love watching you grow, and though I miss the tiny baby God gave me 3 years ago, I adore the little girl you are today. I can't wait to see what this next year brings and the many years to come. You'll always be my sweet baby girl. I love you to the moon and back! Happiest of birthdays to you!

Love, Mommy
xoxo

Mixbook Photo Books

Let me start by saying, Mixbook did not contact me to write this post, I just really love Mixbook and wanted to share my books with you all.

I can't say enough great things about Mixbook. I just love them. Their website is so user friendly and they give you full rein when creating your books. They have so many different styles to choose from and they are so much fun to make. They are by far my favorite company to work with when it comes to making scrapbooks. I've used them every year since Jackson was born. I make a book a year for each of my kids and they are always so fun to look back at.

I try to start a new book after each of their birthdays and then add to it throughout the year as not to get overwhelmed making it all at once. I just finished up Avery's latest book, just in time for all our friends and family to see at her birthday party. So I thought I'd share it here for you all to take a look at as well. I'm also sharing Jackson's latest book because I never shared it before.

If you're ever interested in ordering from Mixbook, I have a $20 off discout for your first order. Just click here! Believe me, you'll be happy you did.

Jackson's Mini Creek Photo Session

I was off work this past Monday and decided to take advantage of the nice weather we had that evening to get a few updated pictures of Jackson in the creek at the park near our house. Thankfully, he was willing and I think they turned out so cute!

Easter Weekend

We had a wonderful Easter Weekend! I hope you all did as well.

It started Friday with our new doors being delivered. My Dad and Jake were both off work and got started on the job as soon as the doors were delivered. It took all day, but they got the doors in. As usual, it didn't go smoothly, but they got it done. Saturday my Dad finished up the trim work around the door on the inside and outside and put together our 4 new rocking chairs. I love the way it all came together!!

Here's a before and after picture from when we first bought the house a year and a half ago, til now!

Saturday, we went to our community Easter Egg Hunt! The kids had a great time.

Saturday afternoon, we had our Easter celebration with Jake's side of the family at a park. My brother-in-law and sister-in-law rented a pavilion at a park near their house and it was such a fun time to spend the day outside. We BBQ'd, had a Egg Hunt, flew kites, played kick ball, blew bubbles and played on the playground. The weather was warm and sunny! It was a really fun day!

While we were at the park, Jackson learned to pump and swing by himself! So proud of our big boy!

Then Sunday morning we got up and the kids found their baskets from the Easter Bunny, then we got ready and headed to church!

After church, we came home and had dinner with my family. We also put together a little scavenger hunt for the kids. At the end of the hunt, they each had a little basket of goodies from Maw Maw and Papa! My Aunt and Uncle also got them each a little gift. They blew bubbles after the scavenger hunt and jumped on the trampoline. It was such a fun day!!

Five on Friday

Happy Friday!
Today I'm linking up with Christina, April and Natasha for Five on Friday!
Image may contain: text

One
I realized the other day that I never shared any pictures of Avery and I from the princess ball we went to at the end of February. I mentioned it here that we were going and had our outfits all ready, but then never shared any pictures. So here are a few I took of Avery with Rapunzel and Elsa and then one we had taken with Elsa and Anna while we were there.

Two
Jackson is playing soccer again this Spring and is doing so well. It's so much fun watching him play!

Three
Avery has been potty training for the last few weeks and I think it might be safe to say, she's finally got it down. I'm so proud of her!

Four
Avery's 3rd birthday is at the end of this month and we told her if she potty trained, we'd get her a big-girl bed for her birthday. We decided to go the toddler bed route for now and we let her pick which one she wanted. :-) Here's what she picked and I can't wait to see her face when she sees it.
We also got her the bedding to match and a cute Frozen rug. Luckily, it matches her wall color, so we shouldn't have to paint (especially since we just painted her room a year ago when we moved in).  I did, however, look around on Pinterest to find some cute and easy ways to change up her room to make it more "frozen" themed. She has 4 frames in her room that have prints in them that I made from ideas on Pinterest. I plan on changing those out with some I'm working on that are Frozen themed. With a few minor changes, her room will be fit for a princess! Now I just pray the transition into a big-girl bed goes smoothly.

Five
Last but not least, I hope you all have a wonderful Easter!
