Jackson's 48 and 49 Week Pictures! {And his 1 year Photo Book}

Here are Jackson's 48 and 49 Week Pictures. He's growing and getting so big! I can't believe we are only 2 weeks away from his 1 yr. birthday!

Jackson is doing great! He's trying a lot of new foods and has liked everything I've given him. (Fettuccine, meatballs, scrambled eggs, pancakes and waffles) He's still eating baby food and is still taking about 3-4 six oz. bottles a day and 1 eight oz. bottle before bed. He weighed 23 lbs. 8 ozs. at the Dr. on Monday. He's sleeping through the night pretty regularly now! Yay! He's got 8 teeth (4 on top and 4 on bottom) He's wearing 18 and 24 month clothes. He loves playing with his toys (blocks, books, little people and cars to name a few) and watching pretty much anything on Disney Jr. or Nick Jr. :-) We're getting excited about his 1st birthday party, which will be on his actual birthday this year. I'm getting the invitations ready to go out this weekend! :-)

I also just finished up Jackson's 1 year photo book that I made for his party. I plan on making a more detailed scrapbook for him, but this will be okay for something for the guests to look at at his party.

Jackson Lately via Instagram

I've taken several cute instagram photos of Jackson, (who else?) in the last week or so.

If you are on instagram, please feel free to follow me here.

Jackson watching t.v. with not 1 of his blankies, but 3! We have 4 of these Carters brand blankets that I used when he was an infant. He got really attached to them over the last few months and now we don't leave home without one. They are really light weight, so they make a good blankie. ♥

Jackson asleep in his car seat after a long day of church, lunch and shopping!

Jackson sitting in the big bird chair at the Dr. office Monday morning. We were waiting in an exam room for the Dr. to come check him out. They weighed him while we were there and he weighed 23 lbs. 8 ozs. He ended up having a double ear infection and croup on top of a runny nose and cough. I'm so glad I took him in. He's on an antibiotic and they gave him a dose of steroids for the croup, which worked wonders. He seems to be feeling much better now. :-)

Jackson and Libby in the car on the way to Grandma's house last night.

Jackson playing  with an old remote control at Grandma's. The love of the remote control starts so young, Ha!

And last but not least, Jackson and Mommy, stopping to get a picture together. Jackson doesn't look too thrilled, LOL.

I hope you're all having a great week! Only 1 more day left after today! I'm so excited about the 3 day weekend coming up. :-) We have my sweet Nephew Mason's 1st B-day party on Sat. afternoon, another birthday party Sat. night for 2 of my Nieces and then we may be going Apple Picking on Monday. :-)

Wordless Wednesday!

I do have one word for these pictures... T-R-O-U-B-L-E!!

It seems like almost every time I get onto him about doing something he's not supposed to do, this is the look I get. He almost always looks back at me with this little smile on his face! Its hard to get too mad at him because its so darn cute!

I Can't Believe Its October Already!

And I can't believe my baby is going to be one this month!

My how time flies!

It just doesn't seem possible that its been almost a year already! I'm feeling quite emotional over it. Its a bittersweet feeling for sure. I can remember hearing mom's talk about how sad they were when they had to pack up their child's baby clothes and I thought that seemed a little silly, but I know now just how emotional that can be.

It seems as though they are a baby for such a short time and no matter how much we try and stop and take it all in, it goes by in a flash and its all just a memory.

I am excited though, for what we have to look forward to in this next year with Jackson. His first real words, going and doing fun things and him really getting into it and getting excited about things. Taking him on his first vacation. I'm looking forward to it all!!

So its a bittersweet feeling for me. I'm sad he won't be a baby anymore, but I'm so excited for all that we have to look forward to. He's such a sweet boy and I'm just so happy to have him in our lives. We are beyond blessed.

Its Monday Again. :-(

Why do the weekends have to go by so quickly??

I'm actually home from work today, but not for a fun reason. Jackson is sick. He's had a runny nose all weekend and part of last week and now has a cough that sounds pretty bad. I'm taking him into the Dr. just to get checked out and make sure its not gone into his ears. I always worry about him getting an ear infection since he's had several already.

I did however get quite a bit done for his 1st birthday party over the weekend. We had a crop at our church on Friday night and Saturday and I got Jackson's "Happy Birthday" Banner done, plus his monthly picture banner is all made. I also put together a few pom poms and made his "I AM 1" banner to go on the front of his high chair. Here's a little sneak peek of his "Happy Birthday" banner. I think it turned out really cute!

I also went to Party City yesterday and bought all the plates, plastic-ware, bowls, cups, napkins, candy for the treat bags, and stuff to make the centerpieces. So his party is coming along quite nicely.

Well I better go get ready to take my sick boy to the doctor. I hope you all had a great weekend!

Funny Foto Friday - Jackson!

Jackson's always making me laugh, doing something funny or making a funny face. So I thought this might be a fun post to show off a couple funny out-takes from our little train photo shoot last Sunday evening! Enjoy, and Happy Friday!

Jackson was having so much fun Sunday evening. I find that I get the best pictures if I just kinda let him do his own thing. So this is him, making lots of noise and having a great time. :-) I love that if you look closely, you can see all four of his bottom little teeth. ♥

And here he is waving his arms up and down and acting silly, like he normally does. ☺ I wish this picture was clearer, :-(

Have a great weekend!

Embrace the Camera - Old School Style

I'm linking up with Emily at The Anderson Crew

Embrace the Camera is where you'll take a picture of YOU with your kids, spouse, friends, etc. The point of embrace the camera is to get in front of the camera and to document a bit of yourself.

I just recently bought an external hard drive to keep all my pictures organized and safe. Its kind of a big task going through all my pictures and organizing them.

While doing this, I ran across a file where I had a bunch of old scanned photos I had used for my Mom's scrapbook that my sister and I made for her when she turned 50. In this file were several family photos of my parents, my sister and I. So I thought I'd share some of them this week for embrace the camera.

The only stipulation is you can't laugh! Most of these are straight out of the 80's and 90's. Ha! A majority of these photos were taken at church on Easter Sunday. We have a tradition of taking a family picture on Easter Sunday. ☺

I'll start with this one. Its of my first Easter, I had just turned 1 and my sister wasn't born yet.

I believe this was a Christmas Photo.

This was Easter, not really sure what year though. Probably around 1986 or 1987.

My sister acting crazy and me looking at her... priceless. Don't you love our matching Easter dresses?

I remember I already had an Easter dress for this year, but saw this one and begged my mom to get it for me, and she did. ☺ Whoever took this picture, didn't do a very good job, Ha.

This was Easter, 2000 or 2001.

This was Easter 2004.

I believe this was Mother's Day 2004

 This was Father's Day 2006

So there's some humor for you this morning. LOL. Enjoy your Thursday!
