Another Great Weekend

This past weekend was great. We got a lot done and had fun too!!

I was off Friday, so I picked up my mom and we headed over to my sister's house. We went to lunch and then did some shopping!!! We hit up a thrift store that my sister frequents often and scored some like-new maternity clothes and baby clothes. I love a great deal!! Then, we headed back to my sisters where my Bro.-in-law fixed us dinner. After dinner we went to bible study at our church. It was a great day!!

Then Saturday morning we dropped my car off for a much needed oil change and to get the inspection done on it so I could get my license plates renewed. We also had great weather for working out in our yard. I had gotten some flowers the day before, so I planted those and we put down new mulch in our front yard landscaping and around the 2 remaining trees that hadn't been done yet. Here are some pictures!

Here's a picture of our house back in March, just to give you a "before" picture.

Now here we are in June. We put down new mulch in the landscaping and around the trees, trimmed all the bushes and planted new flowers.

A close-up of the landscaping to the right of our door.

Another picture of the landscaping from a diferent angle.

A close up of my new hanging pot and petunias.

New flowers for my front flower pots. Impatients.

Landscaping to the left of our door. We added new mulch over here too and trimmed these bushes. We planted these box woods 4 years ago and each year they get just a tiny bit bigger. Its going to take a while for them to get to their ideal size at this rate, lol.

Then Saturday evening we went out for my Mother-in-Law's birthday. Jake's two brothers, their wives, my MIL and Jake and I went down to Lafayette Square for dinner at Square One Brewery and dessert at Bailey's Chocolate Bar. We had such a fun evening.

All of us at Square One Brewery.

Jake, my Mother-in-Law, and Jake's brother's Pat and Larry.

My SIL Amie, my MIL, my SIL Liz and myself.

All of us at Bailey's Chocolate Bar.

The yummy and ginormous dessert I got at Bailey's. It was the Banana Bread Split!

Then yesterday morning we went to church. After church the guys went and played golf while my mom, sister, nephew Landon and I went to my Aunt and Uncle's house to swim in their pool!! Even though its been in the upper 90's here lately, yesterday it was only in the upper 70's/lower 80's. So needless to say it was a bit chilly for swimming, but we braved the cold water and got in anyways. Once you got used to it, it wasn't too bad. Landon loved the pool!

My mom took this picture with her phone, from my Aunt and Uncles top deck overlooking the pool. This summer they plan to extend the upper deck down to the pool. Which will be great!

My cousin David in the background, along with my sister, nephew and myself.

It was a great weekend. As always, I was sad to see it end. Hope you all had a great weekend as well.

A super fun belated birthday party!!

My Mother-in-Law, Sister-in-Law's and I always do something special for each of our birthdays every year. We normally go out somewhere or have a little party at my MIL's house and its always a surprise for the birthday girl. My birthday was back in April and my husband threw me an Awesome surprise party (you can read about it here). Between then and now, we've all been really busy and haven't had a chance to get together for my birthday. So this past Saturday we were finally able to get together and they threw me a little "Pamper the soon to be mom" party!! It was really nice. They decorated with all baby stuff and baby colors. My gifts were all things I will need for my hospital stay when I go to deliver baby Jackson. Then the entertainment was movies that had to do with having a baby. We ended up only getting to watch one, so we chose to watch Away We Go. Here are some pictures from the party!

The super cute table decorations!

The fabulous cupcakes for dessert!!

Place setting for each of us. The little favor was a box filled with peanuts for my "Little Peanut". :-)

Super yummy punch!

My presents!

Myself with 2 of my beautiful nieces, Kyleigh and Alexis!

Myself with my Sister-in-Laws, Amie and Liz.

Super cute salt and pepper shakers. Its a little chick hatching out of an egg and the saying is "Ready to Hatch".

Slippers for my hospital stay, while having Jackson.

A very cute book that almost made me cry. I can't wait to read it to Jackson someday soon.

Our Weekend!

This past weekend was great. Even with the extra day off, it still didn't seem long enough. But, nonetheless, I was happy to have that extra day!

Saturday, Jake and I got up and started working around the house. Jake mowed the yard while I cleaned and organized. I had said in my previous post that I wanted to get the closet in the future nursery cleaned out to make room for Jackson's clothes, and I was able to get that all done!! Yay! Then Saturday afternoon, I did some baby shopping with my Mom, sister Ashlee and nephew Landon. We pretty much shopped til we dropped! Later that evening, we fixed Spaghetti at my house. :-)

Sunday we went to church, then had lunch with my parents and Papa at Chili's. Later that evening we had a wedding to go to at Pere Marquette Lodge! Here are a few pictures from the wedding!

Then Monday, Jake, my BIL Jason and my Dad all golfed in the morning while I cleaned the house and did some shopping for our BBQ later that afternoon. Then when the guys got home, Landon played in our sprinkler while we waited for the rest of the family to get there to start our BBQ. Here are some pictures!

Landon wearing his new Transformers swimming trunks I got him for his B-day, along with his Transformers towel. All ready for the sprinkler.

In honor of Memorial Day I bought us all some Patriot Pops!! Landon enjoyed his! :-)

This was their idea for the pool!!

Libby loved the pool. I think we may need to invest in a plastic kids pool for her this summer!

So all in all it was a great weekend! I hope yours was too!
