Day 4 of our vacation was spent at Lion Country Safari. I first heard about it from Katie Bower's blog, Bower Power. She and her family went there while on vacation earlier this year and it looked like so much fun. You can check out her blog post about it here.
We got up and drove there Tuesday morning. It was about an hour away from where we were staying. It was such a fun place to visit and I can't say enough great things about it. If you have kids, I highly recommend a visit here. They even have coupons on their website if you're looking for a discount.
We started our visit with the drive-thru safari which was SO very cool. I took an over-abundance of pictures so I apologize in advance. #sorrynotsorry There were so many different kinds of animals and it was so cool to see them close up. They were all free and walking around, sometimes right in front of your vehicle. All but the lions of course. ;-)
This park is so beautiful. It's like an oasis for these animals!
Zebra Crossing!
This little guy had a lot to say! Ha.
Giraffe Crossing!
After the drive-thru safari, we parked our cars and entered the park where we ate lunch, saw some more animals, rode a few little rides, fed the giraffes (my very favorite part), fed tropical birds and splashed around on the slides and splash pad.
My parents and nieces came along with us and all had such a great time!!
The kids loved the little rides.
We also fed some fish and Jake and my Dad played a short round of mini golf with the kids.
After golf, we fed the cutest little tropical birds which was so much fun.
The birds would fly all around and land right on your arm or even your head. Avery wasn't too sure whether she liked this or not. Ha.
Jackson thought it was pretty cool though.
After that, we walked around and saw a few more animals before making our way up to feed the giraffes!
Feeding the giraffes was the highlight for me. When I saw that you could do that here, I was sold on going for sure. I've wanted to feed a giraffe for a while now and it was so cool!! They're amazing animals and it was the coolest thing to be so close to them.
After feeding the giraffes, we headed over to the water slides, splash pad and Fun Slide. This is what the kids had been looking forward to the most and they had a great time!!
That evening, we had dinner at "The Islander Grill and Tiki Bar" which was inside the "Palm Beach Shores Resort and Vacation Villas." We sat outside by the pool and it was very nice. The food was good, but I wouldn't say it was amazing. It was a nice atmosphere though and we enjoyed our evening there.
It was a great day at the Lion Country Safari and a nice evening at the Islander Grill. It was probably my favorite day of our vacation!

Oh goodness, Lion Country looks so fun! I’ve never even heard of it, but I’m making a mental note for whenever we go to Florida. The giraffes are so cute!
