Here's just a random post to catch you up on what we've been up to lately.
We had a wonderful time in Arizona a week ago. I'll write a more detailed post soon, but here's a family picture of us at the Grand Canyon!
Last week we had a spruce tree cut down from our back yard that was growing into our power lines and the large oak tree in our front yard trimmed up. We also had several stumps removed from our yard. Last year, the main focus was on renovating the inside of our "new-to-us" house and this year the focus is on the outside. We have so much work that needs to be done, and we're excited to be starting on it. The main focus will be on getting the pool open in late Spring. We have some bids coming in on the work we want to do to the pool and I'm so excited to get that project started! I'll try and keep the blog updated through-out the process. It will surely be quite the transformation.
(It was amazing to watch them take this tree down. They had it down in less than 15 minutes!)
The weather has been seasonably warm lately and especially this past Saturday. It was 73 degrees and such a beautiful day. The kids in the neighborhood all played outside together and I took my mom and sister out for their birthdays (finally)! Their birthdays are in December but we've all been so busy that we finally were able to get together this past weekend. I took them shopping and to lunch! It was so much fun to have a girls day out!
While I was shopping Saturday, I bought Avery a super cute pair of boots for only $10. She looked so adorable for church on Sunday, I just had to get a picture of her.
The kids are all excited for their valentines day parties at school tomorrow!! Jackson has dinosaur valentines and Avery has Frozen valentines! It should be a fun day for them! We also plan to grill steaks for dinner tomorrow night and have a fun little love-themed family dinner.
I hope you all have a wonderful Valentines Day!
