Day 4 of our Gulf Shores, Alabama Family Vacation

Sorry these have been so spread out. Last week was a busy week for us, so I just didn't get as much picture editing done as I'd have liked to. Hopefully I can finish up our vacation posts this week. :-) Here are days 1, 2 and 3 if you missed them.

Now onto day 4.

Tuesday morning, my Dad and Jake had a tee time at Kiva Dunes Golf Course, which was actually right next to our condo. They didn't take any pictures, so I'm just posting a few from their website. :-)

You can actually see our condo from this picture in the top left.

They said it was a very nice course and they both had a great time and shot pretty well. :-)

While they were gone, my Mom and I hung out around the condo and took Jackson to the pool for about an hour or so.

When the guys got back from golfing, we had lunch and then drove down the street to Fort Morgan. It was a super hot day, in fact it was super hot the whole time we were there with about 100% humidity, so we didn't stay at the Fort as long as we'd have liked. But it was cool to see nonetheless.

We started out inside the museum.

Jackson wearing a Civil War soldier hat. :-)

The story of Gen. Morgan.

Then we headed outside to check out the Fort.

You have to go through this little tunnel to get from the museum to the Fort.

The Fort sits right on the end of the peninsula, so you can see ships out in the gulf.

Jackson and Daddy with a canon.

After exploring the Fort, we headed back to our condo, but on the way, we stopped off in a couple beach communities to get a closer look at some of the beach homes along the way. They were so cool and so unique.

Yep, you're seeing that right, it's a purple house!

After getting back from the fort, we just hung out at the condo and pool the rest of the evening. It was another fun fill day in Gulf Shores!
