I found the idea to do this weekly photo project over here at younghouselove.com. I thought it would be so fun to try, and I guess it was for the most part. I'm glad I did it, but I'm glad its over as well. LOL. It was not an easy project to keep up with, I will tell you that. For the first couple weeks I had to try hard to keep him happy and not crying for his weekly picture. Then once we finally got in the groove of it, he started rolling over, :-( Once he learned to roll over, that made this weekly photo session far more of a challenge and with every new skill (crawling, walking) it got harder and harder. Keeping him still long enough for me to get a picture was next to impossible. Thank goodness for my new dslr. It takes much faster photos than my old point and shoot. ☺
I plan on adding these photos into a scrapbook or photo album of some sort and my sister is in the process of making him a quilt using the fabric from each week. ☺ I can't wait til its done. I also plan on scaling back now and just taking a monthly picture from now on. I'm not sure if I'll use fabric or just sit him in the same chair each week, but I'll keep posting his stats monthly with a few pictures for you to see how he's growing.
So without further adieu... here are weeks 1 and 52 side by side for comparison, and all of the rest of the weeks in between!!

Weeks 44 and 45 made me smile. And doesn't he look just as long now as the day he was born?! He is such a little stud muffin. And you're a good mom to keep this photobook for him!!
This is such a neat little project! A great way to see how he has grown the first year. It would be nice to have them printed and put them in an album. I'm sure in a few years he'd never believe he was once that tiny!
Such a cutie. I love the progression pics and his smile is award winning.
These pictures are AMAZING... totally worth all of your effort! What great momentos to document his first year.
For some reason I love the 9 week picture! He just looks like such a little tough guy.
Very cool. He turned into "Jackson" as how I picture him at week 11.
my FAVORITE is 31 weeks! I loved looking at these so much!
have a great day Amy!
