Mother's Day Show and Tell Link Up!!

In honor of Mother's Day this coming Sunday, Holly and I have decided to host a fun link up to honor our Mother's. Today starts it off and I hope you'll all join us and post a picture of your mom, along with a story or memory of her. Be sure and link your Mother's Day Show and Tell post back to one of our blogs and feel free to add our button! I can't wait to read all of your posts!!

My mom when she was little, standing next to her mom (my Grammy).

My mom is pretty much my best friend. We spend a lot of time together and talk everyday. She comes to my house to watch Jackson while I go to work, which I can't thank her enough for. Leaving Jackson to go to work every morning is super hard, but knowing he gets to spend the day with his Maw Maw makes leaving him a lot easier!!
My mom holding Jackson in the hospital after his birth.

One of our favorite things to do together is Shop!! We've always loved shopping together ever since I was a little girl. My mom was a SAHM, which was great! So one day a week, during the summers, my mom would pick up my Grammy (who never learned to drive), and she'd take my sister, Grammy and I out shopping for the day. We'd have lunch and spend the day shopping. It wasn't really about getting something at the store, although we always ended up getting a little something, but it was just about spending the day together... just us girls!

My mom and I when I was little.

As my sister and I got older, we tried hard to continue the tradition. It wasn't every week that we all got together, but we tried to make it happen as often as possible. My mom still picked up her mom every week and they would go to lunch and shopping, and my sister and I would tag along as often as we could.

Me, Grammy, Mom and my sister Ashlee (Mother's Day 2009)

Since my Grammy's passing, my mom, sister and I still get together most weekends, and since I'm off every other Monday, we'll often get together those days and do some shopping.  Of course, our three little boys tag along most days and they are often the reason for our shopping trips. Its so fun shopping for babies. ☺

My mom actually bought all three boys these matching shirts for the pictures we took of them a couple weeks ago.

I love my mom so much and don't know what I'd do without her. She is such a great mom to my sister and I and such a wonderful Maw Maw to our boys! She's been there for me in the good times and bad. She was always there to nurse me back to health when I was sick as a child, she always tried her best to heal my broken heart when I was a teenager/young adult and has been my inspiration as a wife and mother.

I couldn't ask for a more loving and caring Mom!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY MOM!

Now its your turn...

PS - Also linking up with Embrace the Camera!

It's funny how much you look like your mom and Ashlee looks like your dad. You have an awesome mom-- so many of us just wish our moms could/would stay with our kids during the day. And she has great taste in little boy clothes. :)

Happy Mother's Day, Amy! You're one of the best moms I know!
