11 Weeks
Pregnancy Highlights
How Far Along: 11 weeks today. Our baby is finally starting to look like a little human being, rather than an alien, LOL.
Size of baby: The baby weighs about .25 ounces this week, and is about 1.61 inches long (crown to rump)... about the size of a walnut or fig.
Total Weight Gain/Loss: I'm not really sure, I haven't weighed recently.
Maternity Clothes: Not yet. But I have a feeling they're coming soon.
Gender: We should be able to find out in about 7 weeks. Sometime in mid May. I can't wait. :-)
Movement: Not yet, its still a little too early.
Food Cravings: None yet. Just whatever sounds good at the time.
What I miss: Feeling "normal" (not sick).
Sleep: Still sleeping pretty well. However, I have to get up at least once during the night to go to the bathroom. Still very tired in the afternoon and evening.
Symptoms: I'm still feeling nauseous off an on, all day long, but its mostly in the evening now. I do think the nauseous feeling is starting to subside to some degree. I feel very tired in the afternoon and evening. I am having to go to the bathroom a lot more these days.
Best Moment this week: Visiting some friends of ours in the hospital as they welcomed their twin baby girls (fraternal) into the world. I got to hold each of them and they are sooooo cute!! It really got me excited to meet our little peanut in October.
Caroline on the left and Violet on the right.
What I am looking forward to: The second trimester, when everyone says I'll start to feel better. I'm also looking forward to my next Dr. Appt. on Apr. 12th (my 30th birthday), when we'll get to hear the heartbeat.

So much for Spring
Just this past week the temperatures here in St. Louis were reaching into the 70's and 80's! Which I was so very happy about. I absolutely love the warm weather.
Then Wednesday night the weather turned real cold and yesterday morning the front of our house looked like this...
By yesterday afternoon most of the snow had melted because it had been sunny and in the 40's. Tomorrow we're supposed to get 3-5 more inches of snow and then by this coming weekend its supposed to be back up into the 60's and possibly even the 70's!! Such crazy weather.
As the saying goes here in St. Louis... If you don't like the weather, wait a minute and it will change. LOL, this is such a true statement.
Here's a picture of our house, just this past Wednesday, with our Bradford Pear trees starting to bloom.
A neighbors pretty Magnolia Tree in bloom.
Another Bradford Pear Tree in our yard, covered in snow.

Pregnancy Highlights
How Far Along: 10 weeks today.
Size of baby: A little over an inch long, the size of a kumquat.
Total Weight Gain/Loss: So far I think I've gained about 2 lbs.
Maternity Clothes: Not yet. But some of my pants are starting to fit a little tighter.
Gender: We should be able to find out in about 8 weeks. Sometime in mid May. I can't wait. :-)
Movement: Not yet, its still too early.

What I miss: Not feeling nauseous.
Sleep: Sleeping just fine, in fact I can't seem to get enough sleep, no matter how much I sleep.
Symptoms: I feel nauseous off an on, all day long. I have a heightened sense of smell and most smells make the nauseous feeling even worse. I do think the nauseous feeling is starting to subside to some degree. As long as I don't let myself get hungry, the nauseous feeling is manageable. I feel tired all the time too.
Best Moment this week: Getting to spend my whole Saturday watching t.v. and doing absolutely nothing all day.
What I am looking forward to: The second trimester, when everyone says I'll start to feel better. I'm also looking forward to my next Dr. Appt. on Apr. 12th, when we'll get to hear the heartbeat.

Our First Glimpse at our Little Peanut!!
I had my ultrasound today to make sure there is only one baby. Thankfully, there is only one! The baby is growing perfectly and we were able to see the heartbeat, which was so amazing!! Here are a few pictures we got of our little peanut.
In this first picture, the little cross on the left is pointing to the top of the head and the little cross on the right is pointing to its bottom.
In this picture the baby's head is pointing toward the right.

I think we need a bigger bed.
Last night, as I was getting ready for bed, I came in my room to find this...
They were all 4 pooped from playing outside yesterday. :-) It was a beautiful day so I let the dogs play most of the day outside in the back yard while I cleaned the house. Jake played in a golf tournament and then we had my family over that evening for my Grammy's 72nd birthday. Once everyone was gone Jake went to bed and the dogs followed him while I finished cleaning up and checked my e-mail and facebook for the day. When I was ready for bed, I went in our room to change into my pj's and found them all sleeping. :-) I was able to snap a quick picture. It was a great day and evening and this picture just topped it off! I feel so blessed!

First Prenatal Appointment
I had my 8 week pre-natal appointment yesterday and everything went great. It was my first visit to the Dr. since I found out I was pregnant. Jake and I had to fill out a long "family history" questionnaire and she went over all the things I should and shouldn't be doing/eating/drinking while I'm pregnant. They also did a pregnancy test and of course it came back positive. :-) She did an exam and said that I was right where I should be for being 8 weeks pregnant. She also prescribed an ultrasound for me for this coming week, just to make sure there's only one little peanut growing inside of me. Since I was on clomid, there's a slight increase in multiples so she just wants to make sure. While she was doing my exam, she said it only felt like one, but she wants me to have an ultrasound just to make sure. So I'll get to see my little peanut for the first time on Monday!! :-) My appt. is at 4:00 in the afternoon. I'm excited to get to see him/her.
My next Dr. appt. will be on April 12th, (my 30th birthday) and at that appt. we'll get to hear the heartbeat! So I'm super excited about that!
So I'll let you all know how the ultrasound goes on Monday and hopefully I'll get a picture or two to share with you guys. :-)
Hope you're all having a great weekend and enjoying some beautiful weather. Its sunny and 60 degrees here in St. Louis today! A perfect day for some Spring cleaning with the windows open.

Its Friday Again...
Yay!! I've been looking forward to Friday all week. With being sick and tired most of this week, working through it all has not been fun. I did stay home Tuesday after waking up with a sore throat and sinus headache on top of feeling nauseous. But I've been trying to push through and go to work because I want to save all my time for AFTER the baby gets here. Needless to say, I will be sleeping in as late as possible tomorrow morning and I am so looking forward to it.
On the agenda for the weekend...
On the agenda for the weekend...
1. We have our bible study tonight over at my sister and bro.-in-law's house. We're going over chapter 5 of this book...
2. Tomorrow night we have a birthday dinner for my cousin's 19th birthday at this yummy restaurant...
3. Sunday we have church in the morning and then we don't really have any plans for the afternoon or evening, however something usually comes up so I'm sure we'll be doing something.
I hope you all have a great weekend!!
