Jackson Loves His Papa

I just got to my parents house, after work, and this was too cute not to post. Jackson loves his Papa (my Dad). I love that Jackson has such wonderful grandparents in his life. I love that he is, and will always be, spoiled by them. This picture melts my heart!

Jackson is 32 Weeks Old!

Jackson turned 32 weeks this past Thursday.

When we went to the Dr. on Monday he weighed 21.1 pounds. He's such a big boy!

He has gotten good at picking up the little puff snacks and putting them in his mouth. It keeps him busy while we're eating dinner. :-)

He's still wearing 12 and 18 month clothes. Still taking 6 ounce bottles every 4 hours. He eats a jar or two of baby food each day along with some oatmeal or rice cereal.

He's learning how to drink out of a sippy cup. We have to hold it or else he just plays with it, but he has figured out how to drink out a Nuk sippy cup that we have for him. He takes some juice and water out of it.

We tried some yogurt bites this week and he really like them. He also had a popsicle last night and LOVED that. He's had some vanilla ice-cream and yogurt and loves it ALL!! He really just loves all food.

He's saying "Mama" more regularly now. Which I am loving! That and "Baba" are his two favorite things to say.

He's sleeping fairly well at night. He goes to bed at around 9:00 and wakes up around 1 or 2 times a night to eat. He then wakes up for the day between 6 and 8, but goes down for a nap in the morning, early afternoon and then a short nap in the late afternoon.

He's crawling around like crazy and pulling up on everything. He will hold with only one hand sometimes and even let go once and stood there for a few seconds. If I had to bet, he'll probably walk long before he turns one.

He does not like diaper changes and getting his clothes changed these day. He is trying to roll over the entire time. Its a challenge to say the least. I have a feeling he's going to be very strong willed. Oh joy!

He's such a sweet boy and we are so blessed to have him in our lives. Its so fun to see him learn and grow. :-)

We love you sweet Jackson. ♥

What I'm Loving Wednesday

♥ I'm loving that I finally ordered the pregnancy album I made of my pregnancy with Jackson. I made this little book a few months ago, but never got around to actually ordering it. However they had a special offer for a FREE 8x8 hard cover book, so I thought I better order it now so I could use the promo code.

♥  I'm loving that Jackson had a good night last night, only waking up twice to eat and then falling right back asleep. I hope this means his ears were feeling better and the antibiotic is starting to kick in.

♥ I'm loving these few pictures I took of Jackson this past Monday.

♥ And I'm loving that I finally got a picture of Jackson's first little tooth!

♥ I'm loving that I got to scrapbook over the weekend and finished up these 5 pages.
(The picture quality of these pages is poor. I cropped them down on my phone and didn't realize it would make them so unclear. I'll have to update with better pictures.)

♥ And as always...

Another Ear Infection

For the last week or so Jackson has had a runny nose. He's been super hard to put to sleep and has been a little crabby at times. Then Sunday at church, I noticed him pulling at his ears. :-(

I was off work yesterday, so I got him into see the pediatrician first thing in the morning and sure enough, he has an ear infection in both ears. So she put him on an antibiotic for the fourth time this year. :-(

I hate that he's had so many ear infections. The pedi. said some kids are just more prone to ear infections. She said its just a matter of anatomy. Some people's ears drain better than others.

So hopefully this antibiotic works and he's feeling better in a day or two. I stayed home with him today to cuddle him and take care of him. Plus we neither one got much sleep last night. :-( The good thing is he is old enough for advil now and that seems to work much better than tylenol, so he seems to feel better as long as he has the advil in his system. I just hate to see him in pain. I really hope he feels better soon.

My view today, while at home with my poor sick little boy.

Jackson is 31 Weeks Old!

I'm so far behind on posting this. A week behind actually. Jackson is now 32 weeks old as of yesterday.

He had a couple big milestones in his 31st week. He began crawling on his hands and knees on his 31 week birthday. And pretty much simultaneously, he began pulling up on EVERYTHING!! The couches, his little toy box, even the kitchen trash can (which didn't go so well). He loves to be standing up!! I guess it makes him feel big. Here are his 31 week pictures.

I just love his big smile in this picture.

Like I've said recently, these pictures are getting super hard to take. Gone are the days that I would lay him down on the blanket/fabric and he'd just lay there and smile at me. Now, as soon as I lay him down, he is flipped over and crawling away as fast as his little hands and knees will take him. But, we have to keep trying. We have 21 more weeks to go and then I plan on just taking a monthly picture. Which will be a little easier.

Embrace The Camera

I'm linking up with Emily at The Anderson Crew for Embrace the Camera.

Embrace the Camera is where you'll take a picture of YOU with your kids, spouse, friends, etc. The point of embrace the camera is to get in front of the camera and to document a bit of yourself.

These are just a few pictures of Jackson and I swimming this past Sunday. It was Jackson's first time in the pool. He enjoyed the pool and I look forward to swimming more with him this summer.

Now its your turn.
