What I'm Loving Wednesday

I thought I'd play along this week with Jamie's "What I'm Loving Wednesday".

* I'm loving that I start the 3rd and final trimester of my pregnancy today. Only about 12 weeks or less to go before I get to meet my sweet baby Jackson! I can't wait.

* I'm loving that I should be getting some of the furniture for Jackson's room delivered today! Can't wait to paint his room on Saturday! I picked up the blue paint yesterday and cleaned out our spare bedroom to get it ready to become the nursery.

* I'm loving my favorite show, So You Think You Can Dance. They are down to just 8 contestants now.

* And last but not lease, I'm loving my sweet and adorable doggies and my wonderful husband.

28 Weeks ~ 3rd Trimester!!

Pregnancy Highlights

How Far Along: 28 Weeks. I start the 3rd trimester today! Time is flying by!

Size of Baby: The baby weighs 2 1/4 pounds now (like a chinese cabbage) and is about 14.8 inches from head to heal.

Total Weight Gain/Loss: At my 24 week Dr. appt. I had gained 18 pounds total. The baby was also measuring 2 weeks ahead. I have my 28 week appt. on Friday, so I'll find out my actual weight gain then.

Maternity Clothes: Yes, all maternity clothes.

Gender: Its a BOY!! Jackson Thomas Smith

Movement: Yes, he's moving around A LOT now, and I love it.

Food Cravings: Pasta and sweets.

What I miss: Sleeping well.

Sleep: Still not sleeping very well these days. Just can't seem to get comfortable. Tossing and turning a lot.

Symptoms: I'm still having this pain under my right ribs and around to my back. The chiropractor seems to think its the ligaments pulling, due to my ever expanding uterus or I guess it could be the baby on a nerve.

Best Moment this week: Ordering all the furniture for Jackson's nursery! I can't wait to get it all put together in his room.

What I am looking forward to: Getting Jackson's room ready, my baby shower on Sept. 10th and getting to meet Jackson in Oct.

More furniture for Jackson's Nursery

I ordered the remainder of the furniture for Jackson's nursery today. I had already ordered the crib/changing table combo and the rocker/glider last week (you can read more about that here) and have actually already received the glider. We haven't put the glider together yet as we're waiting til after we get the nursery painted, which is on the agenda for this coming Saturday!! :-) Then this past Friday I ordered this little side table to set next to the glider. It should be delivered sometime this week. :-)

I ordered this dresser today.
I've been searching around for a dresser that I liked, for a while now. I actually just found this one today and I really like it, I'm just not totally crazy about the handles. I just feel like they may be too modern for a baby's room. However, I figured once I got the room all done, if I still didn't like them, I could just shop around for some different handles that go with his room better.

So now I'm just waiting for everything to be delivered. I'm hoping to get it all by the end of the week so after we paint on Saturday, we can start setting the furniture up in his room. I can't wait to see it all put together!!

A little miracle in a can.

With having 3 fairly big dogs, I'm always looking for a good "pet stain" carpet cleaner for the occasional accident on my carpet. They are few and far between these days as Max, our youngest, is almost a year old. But occasionally he has an accident or one of them gets sick on the carpet.

I've tried several different carpet cleaners, but none have worked as good as this; Oxy Pro Pet stain remover by Bissell. It gets every stain out that I've tried using it on! Its a miracle worker.

They also make a formula thats not for pet stains and I'm sure it works just as well.

So I thought I'd give a shout out to Bissell for making such an awesome carpet stain remover, and pass along my fabulous find to anyone else who might have to clean the occasional stain out of their carpet. When you have pets and children, its inevitable to get a carpet stain every once in a while.

I hope you're all enjoying your weekend!

TGIF!

I'm so happy its the weekend!!

Tonight, Jake and I are going to the mall and to see a movie. We're planning to see Friends with Benefits. I really want to see the new Harry Potter movie, but Jake's not into Harry Potter, so we compromised on this. I love both Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis, so I'm hoping its good.

Tomorrow I'm probably going to clean around the house. Then I'm meeting up with my sister and a friend of ours for dinner at my sister's house. The menu for tomorrow night is cheese stuffed jumbo pasta shells with a red sauce. :-) Yummy. We also plan to make a dessert, but haven't decided on what yet.

Sunday we have church in the morning and then I'm not sure what we'll be doing the rest of the day. Jake mentioned he is probably playing golf, so I will probably hang out with my sister, mom and nephew that afternoon or I may just hang out at home. We shall see! :-)

I hope you all have a fun weekend.

Baby Bump Pictures

I thought it would be kind of fun to show how much my baby bump has changed since the beginning. Here are pictures from 6 weeks til now at 27 weeks! I'll have to redo them as I continue to grow, but here's what I have so far. I didn't take a weekly picture until around 16 weeks because I just wasn't showing all that much. But I did take a few here and there before 16 weeks.
