Landon's 4th Birthday

My nephew Landon, turned 4 yesterday. This past Saturday was his party and the party was at our house! It turned out to be a beautiful day and the kids were able to play outside on our swingset. We had a great time!! Here are a few pictures from the day.

The party decorations.

Lots of Presents!!

Landon's Optimus Prime cake that his mommy made!! My sister makes some great cakes!

Landon's cousin Ruby, swinging. So cute!!

Another of Landon's cousins, Clair, swinging.

The birthday boy in his "Bumblebee" shirt!!

The dogs enjoyed spending the day outside with everyone!

Uncle Jake pushing Landon on the swing.

Landon with his cake!

Landon opening presents.

Then Sunday, since it was another beautiful day outside, my sister wanted to take Landon's 4 year old pictures. So we took him to an old historic home close to our church and she took his pictures there on the property. He was so funny because every once in a while he would ask his mom, was that one cute?? LOL.

After the pictures we took him to the park and to get ice cream!! :-) Here are a few of the pictures my sister took of him. They turned out so cute!

I think this one is my favorite!

I love this one too!

This picture makes him look so old. :-( But its super cute anyways.

Silly boy!!

So sweet!

12 Weeks

Pregnancy Highlights

How Far Along: 12 weeks today.

Size of baby: The baby weighs about 1/2 an ounce, and is about 2 inches long (crown to rump)... about the size of a lime.

Total Weight Gain/Loss: I'm not really sure, I haven't weighed recently.

Maternity Clothes: Not yet, but I really need to get some soon.

Gender: We should be able to find out in about 6 weeks. Sometime in mid May. I can't wait. :-)

Movement: Not yet, its still a little too early.

Food Cravings: None yet. Just whatever sounds good at the time.

What I miss: Sleeping through the night.

Sleep: Not sleeping very well. I have to get up at least once during the night to go to the bathroom and I don't seem to be sleeping very soundly. Still very tired in the afternoon and evening.

Symptoms: I'm still feeling nauseous off an on, but its mostly in the evening now and I do think it is getting much better. I feel very tired in the afternoon and evening. I am having to go to the bathroom a lot more these days.

Best Moment this week: Enjoying a beautiful weekend with friends and family and feeling pretty well for the most part.

What I am looking forward to: The second trimester, when everyone says I'll start to feel better. I'm also looking forward to my next Dr. Appt. on Apr. 12th (my 30th birthday), when we'll get to hear the heartbeat.

Yay... Its Friday!!

I'm so happy that its Friday!! The weekend is just a few hours away and I couldn't be happier.

We have a pretty busy weekend coming up. My nephew Landon's 4th Birthday Party is tomorrow and its at our house!! Its a Transformers party because he's obsessed with Transformers right now. :-)

So this means I will be spending most of my Friday evening cleaning our house and getting it ready for our 30+ guests tomorrow. I'm just hoping my "morning sickness" decides to stay away tonight and tomorrow. I really need to feel well enough to get everything done I need to get done. Not to mention I don't want to have a house full of people and feel terrible. I gladly said yes, when my sister asked me if she could have his party at my house, thinking by now the morning sickness should be on its way out. which I think it is. However, I still have bouts of nausea, mostly in the evenings, so I'm just hoping the nausea stays away at least long enough for me to get the house clean tonight.

Then Sunday is church and then hopefully I can just relax at home Sunday afternoon and evening.

I hope you all have a great weekend!!!!

11 Weeks

Pregnancy Highlights

How Far Along: 11 weeks today. Our baby is finally starting to look like a little human being, rather than an alien, LOL.

Size of baby: The baby weighs about .25 ounces this week, and is about 1.61 inches long (crown to rump)... about the size of a walnut or fig.

Total Weight Gain/Loss: I'm not really sure, I haven't weighed recently.

Maternity Clothes: Not yet. But I have a feeling they're coming soon.

Gender: We should be able to find out in about 7 weeks. Sometime in mid May. I can't wait. :-)

Movement: Not yet, its still a little too early.

Food Cravings: None yet. Just whatever sounds good at the time.

What I miss: Feeling "normal" (not sick).

Sleep: Still sleeping pretty well. However, I have to get up at least once during the night to go to the bathroom.  Still very tired in the afternoon and evening.

Symptoms: I'm still feeling nauseous off an on, all day long, but its mostly in the evening now.  I do think the nauseous feeling is starting to subside to some degree. I feel very tired in the afternoon and evening. I am having to go to the bathroom a lot more these days.

Best Moment this week: Visiting some friends of ours in the hospital as they welcomed their twin baby girls (fraternal) into the world. I got to hold each of them and they are sooooo cute!! It really got me excited to meet our little peanut in October.

Caroline on the left and Violet on the right.

What I am looking forward to: The second trimester, when everyone says I'll start to feel better. I'm also looking forward to my next Dr. Appt. on Apr. 12th (my 30th birthday), when we'll get to hear the heartbeat.

So much for Spring

Just this past week the temperatures here in St. Louis were reaching into the 70's and 80's! Which I was so very happy about. I absolutely love the warm weather.

Here's a picture of our house, just this past Wednesday, with our Bradford Pear trees starting to bloom.

A neighbors pretty Magnolia Tree in bloom.

Then Wednesday night the weather turned real cold and yesterday morning the front of our house looked like this...

Another Bradford Pear Tree in our yard, covered in snow.

By yesterday afternoon most of the snow had melted because it had been sunny and in the 40's. Tomorrow we're supposed to get 3-5 more inches of snow and then by this coming weekend its supposed to be back up into the 60's and possibly even the 70's!! Such crazy weather.

As the saying goes here in St. Louis... If you don't like the weather, wait a minute and it will change. LOL, this is such a true statement.

10 Weeks

Pregnancy Highlights

How Far Along: 10 weeks today.

Size of baby: A little over an inch long, the size of a kumquat.
Total Weight Gain/Loss: So far I think I've gained about 2 lbs.

Maternity Clothes: Not yet. But some of my pants are starting to fit a little tighter.

Gender: We should be able to find out in about 8 weeks. Sometime in mid May. I can't wait. :-)

Movement: Not yet, its still too early.

Food Cravings: None so far. Just whatever sounds good at the time.

What I miss: Not feeling nauseous.

Sleep: Sleeping just fine, in fact I can't seem to get enough sleep, no matter how much I sleep.

Symptoms: I feel nauseous off an on, all day long. I have a heightened sense of smell and most smells make the nauseous feeling even worse. I do think the nauseous feeling is starting to subside to some degree. As long as I don't let myself get hungry, the nauseous feeling is manageable. I feel tired all the time too.

Best Moment this week: Getting to spend my whole Saturday watching t.v. and doing absolutely nothing all day.

What I am looking forward to: The second trimester, when everyone says I'll start to feel better. I'm also looking forward to my next Dr. Appt. on Apr. 12th, when we'll get to hear the heartbeat.
