5 on Friday!

I'm linking up today with the lovely ladies above for 5 on Friday!

One
I'm super excited for the upcoming weekend. The temperatures are supposed to be cooler and more "Fall-Like" (which is great considering its supposed to be around 90 today). I'm getting a much-needed hair cut tomorrow morning and then we have my nephew Mason's 2nd birthday party. My sister is having a Pirate themed party for him and all the kids are supposed to dress up like pirates! I can't wait!

Two
Sorry I've been so MIA around the blog lately. I've just been so tired and just haven't felt like doing much of anything lately. I'm hoping I'll feel better soon and get a little more energy in the second trimester. I'll be 10 weeks on Monday, so I'm hoping I only have 2 more weeks of this nausea and just plain yucky feeling.

Three
I've decided to try and re-structure my weekly "Throw-back Thursday" link up, to making it monthly instead. I also think I'm going to make it themed and have a different co-host each month. If you're interested in co-hosting with me, please feel free to let me know. :-)

Four
If you're looking for some Fall photo inspiration, here's a fun checklist I found here.

Five
I've been working hard on getting Jackson's second year "scrapbook" ready for his party. I used to make all these great homemade scrapbooks and loved doing it, but since having Jackson, I haven't had the time or the desire to do it anymore. So I've made him a book using mixbook.com for every year and I love having them. I've attached his first and second year books here for you to see them. His second year book isn't quite done yet, but its a majority of the way done at this point.

(If you'd like to view these books bigger you can go here for Year One and here for Year Two.)

9 Week Bump Date

How Far Along: 9 weeks + 1 day.
(You can check out my 9 week post from when I was pregnant with Jackson here.)

Size of baby: (According to babycenter.com) 9 weeks: Your baby is about the size of a grape. Your baby now weighs a fraction of an ounce and is almost 1 inch long. Baby's eyes are fully formed but the eyelids will be fused shut until 27 weeks.

Total Weight Gain/Loss: So far I think I've gained about 3 lbs.

Maternity Clothes: Not yet. But some of my pants are starting to fit a little tighter.

Gender: We should be able to find out at 18 weeks, which should be sometime in early December. I can't wait. :-)

Movement: Not yet, its still too early, but I can't wait to feel the baby moving and kicking.

Food Cravings: Still Chick-Fil-A chicken nuggets, and I still haven't had them yet!!

What I miss: Nothing really.

Sleep: Sleeping just fine, except I'm waking up once or twice a night to use the bathroom.

Symptoms: I feel nauseous off an on, but mostly in the late evening (right around bedtime). I definitely think it's better than when I was pregnant with Jackson.  I also feel tired often.

Best Moment this week: Getting to see baby #2 for the first time yesterday! It's so neat to see the baby moving around and to see the little heart beating. Such a tiny miracle.

What I am looking forward to: The second trimester, and feeling the baby move and kick. I'm also looking forward to my next Dr. Appt. on October 23rd, when we'll get to hear the heartbeat. :-)

A Storybook Photography Newborn Session

This past Sunday afternoon, I had the privilege of taking photos of this sweet little girl. She was just around 8 weeks old and so adorable!

8 Week Bump Date

How Far Along: 8 weeks today.
(You can check out my 8 week post from when I was pregnant with Jackson here.)

Size of baby: (According to babycenter.com) 8 weeks: Your baby is about the size of a kidney bean. Your little bean is now just over 1/2 inch long and is constantly moving and shifting.

Total Weight Gain/Loss: I haven't actually weighed, but should find out today at my first Dr. appt.

Maternity Clothes: Not yet.

Gender: We should be able to find out sometime in December. I can't wait. :-)

Movement: Not yet, but I can't wait to feel little baby flutters and kicks. This was my favorite part about being pregnant with Jackson. :-)

Food Cravings: Chick-Fil-A chicken nuggets, and since we don't have one close-by, I haven't gotten to have them yet. :-(

What I miss: Nothing really.

Sleep: Sleeping fine, just having to get up at least once a night to use the bathroom.

Symptoms: I feel nauseous off and on, but its pretty manageable as long as I'm eating often. It's mostly in the evening, so thankfully I'm able to get through the bulk of my day without feeling yucky. I'm also tired and having to use the bathroom more.

Best Moment this week: Spending the weekend with family. The weather was perfect!!

What I am looking forward to: My first doctor's appt. today for this baby.

5 on Friday

I'm linking up with Darci from The Good Life Blog again this week for 5 on Friday!

1.) Last weekend we went to Kansas City with our friends, the Stanfields. We had such a great time eating, shopping and going to the Chiefs/Cowboys game!!

2.) Sunday I have not 1, but 2 photo sessions to shoot for Storybook Photography!! I'm always so flattered and thankful when someone wants to use me for their photographer. :-)

3.) Jackson turns 2 a month from today! Where has the time gone?? Two just seems so much bigger than one. :-( Jake and I have been talking about what we want to get him for his birthday and we were thinking about a little car that he can drive. I found this one and just love it since he loves the movie Cars right now. Its pretty little so I think it would be perfect for his size and age.

4.) Tonight kicks off the Great Forest Park Balloon Race here in St. Louis. My sister and her family are planning on going so I think Jackson and I might tag along. (Jake is bowling on a league tonight so he can't join us.) I am excited to see Jackson's reaction to so many hot air balloons. :-)

The glow is tonight where they light up all the balloons...

... and the race is tomorrow, where all the balloons race, starting with the Energizer Bunny Balloon!

5.) I saw these on a blog I follow and thought they were just way too cute and clever! I'd love to try and make them sometime.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Throw-back Thursday

Welcome back to Throw-back Thursday!

Today I thought it would be fun to share my baby bump collage from when I was pregnant with Jackson. I've shared this before, right after having Jackson, but thought I'd share it again for any new readers. :-) It will be fun to compare these pictures with this new pregnancy. :-)

Did you take weekly or monthly pictures during your pregnancy? I'd love to see your baby bump progression! Link up with #tbt and share yours, or share any old photos or memories you'd like. :-)

7 Week Bump Date

How Far Along: 7 weeks, as of yesterday.
(You can check out my 7 week post from when I was pregnant with Jackson here.)

Size of baby: (According to babycenter.com) 7 weeks: Your baby is about the size of a blueberry. Your baby has doubled in size since last week and is now about 1/2 inch long.

Total Weight Gain/Loss: I haven't actually weighed, so I'm not entirely sure.

Maternity Clothes: Not yet.

Gender: We should be able to find out sometime in early December. I can't wait. :-)

Movement: Not yet, its still too early.

Food Cravings: None so far.

What I miss: I don't really miss anything.

Sleep: Sleeping just fine, in fact I can't seem to get enough sleep, no matter how much I sleep.

Symptoms: I feel nauseous and tired. The nauseous feeling comes and goes but it has gotten worse since last week. I usually feel better if I keep my stomach full. Gum and mints also help.

Best Moment this week: Getting away this past weekend with the Stanfields in Kansas City. I felt pretty good all weekend which was such a blessing. I was so afraid I would feel tired and nauseous while we were away, but I actually felt great!

What I am looking forward to: My first Dr. appt. on September 23rd and not feeling nauseous anymore. ;-)
