Jackson's 21 Month Post

Jackson is growing like a weed! He is starting to thin out and look more like a toddler than a baby. :-(

His eating habits are pretty much the same as last month. He eats well some days and other days he doesn't. His favorite meal of the day is breakfast! He loves bread and has been asking for it all the time now. He knows where we keep the bread and he'll go over to where the bread box is on the counter and say "bread". He probably gets his love of bread from me. :-)

He still loves cars and trucks and says the word "car" now! He's got a whole hot wheels collection now and plays with them daily. I let him watch the Disney Movie "Cars" a few weeks ago and he loved it! We recently found the show "Bob the Builder" and thats becoming a new favorite. He just loves all the construction trucks. If we pass a truck on the highway he always points to it and says "whoa"! Ha!

A few new words in his vocabulary are bread, car, cookie, shoe, tractor, pee pee, mine and elbow. He also put two words together last night when he said "bye Da" when Jake was leaving.

He's had lots of fun at the pool this past month. We've gone to 2 local water parks and he's loved them both. He goes down the slides and has a great time in the water!

He's not currently cutting any new teeth right now. He has all 16 that he's supposed to have by his age.

Its been another great month with Jackson. He is such a sweetheart and so much fun! We are so very grateful to have him in our lives and we look forward to watching him grow and learn every day!

Throw-back Thursday - Kindergarten School Picture

Thanks for stopping by for another week of Throw-back Thursday!

With all the kids going back to school this month, I thought it would be fun to share my school picture from Kindergarten. :-) I don't remember a lot from Kindergarten, but I do remember liking it and making a good friend named Sarah that I lived down the street from. :-) We spent a lot of time together playing until my family moved when I was in second grade.

Do you have any school pictures you'd like to share, or a picture from your past? Be sure and link it up here and place the "Throw-back Thursday" button on your post. I look forward to seeing your Throw-back Thursday pictures.

Easy Canvas Prints Review and GIVEAWAY!!

(disclosure: I received this product in exchange for highlighting this business. all opinions are my own)

I'm so excited to have a new sponsor to the blog and to be reviewing an awesome photo canvas for you all today. I'm also excited to be giving one away here!

Easy Canvas Prints was such a great company to work with. It was quick and EASY to upload my photo and design my canvas the way I wanted it. (The hardest part was picking the picture I wanted to use, Ha!) You are able to see exactly how it will look on your canvas before you place your order.

I got my canvas in the mail about a week earlier than they originally said I would, which is always a nice surprise! Another pleasant surprise was the quality and sturdiness of the canvas. They offer sizes 8x8 all the way up to 30x40, with many sizes in between.

This was my very first canvas and I have to say, I will definitely be making more with Easy Canvas Prints!

Easy Canvas Prints has offered to let me give away a free 8x10 canvas here on my blog. You can enter the giveaway below using the Rafflecopter.

Running From the Law: July Photo Challenge

One of my favorite bloggers and fellow St. Louisan, Sara, has a photo contest going on this week with the theme: Water. She shared a great post a couple weeks ago about getting your camera off of auto and shooting in manual mode. I've been playing around with manual this summer and have loved the results! You should definitely check out her post here.

I haven't had a chance the last couple of days to take a "contest worthy" photo of Jackson in the water, so I thought I'd use one of my favorites from earlier in the month.

You may remember this photo from an earlier post. We were at our church picnic and he absolutely loved going down the giant slip n slide!
