Our Weekend

We had a great weekend! I hope you did as well.

Friday night we just stayed home, ordered pizza and watched some tv. Jake and I are watching the show "The American's" on FX and its really good. Its on on Wed. nights, but we didn't get to watch it that evening, so we got caught back up on Friday evening. I recommend the show for sure.

Jackson watching his favorite show, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, before bed.

The Americans.

Then Saturday morning, Jackson and I picked up my mom and met my sister at a Kids sale called "Kids Mania" in Edwardsville, IL. Its basically just a bunch of people who rent a table for the day and sell their kids clothes/shoes/toys/books that they no longer need. Its kind of like several yard sales in one place. We found some great deals and I got a really good start on Jackson's summer clothes for this year. I was able to find a table where she was selling his size for summer and they were like new clothes. She was selling Polo brand shirts that looked like they had hardly been worn for only $5 a piece. I was able to get him around 17 or so shirts and I think around 5 or so pairs of shorts. I also got him a winter coat for next year and a new diaper bag that we were needing since the one we've had since Jackson was born broke a couple weeks ago.

Then Saturday evening, we met Jake's brother and his wife at the movies. We saw, Jack the Giant Slayer and I wish I could say it was good, but it just wasn't very good. Then the 4 of us went to Granite City Brewery for dinner and met our friends Chris and Holly there. We had a great meal and a great time. After dinner, we all went to a local casino for a couple more hours and Jake and I ended up winning $30 on the slot machines! We had a great evening and it was nice to go out with friends.

Then yesterday we went to church. After the service we had lunch in our church dining hall. We have food and fellowship the first Sunday of every month. Its always nice to get to sit and talk with friends from church on those Sundays. :-) Then Sunday evening we went to The Old Spaghetti Factory to celebrate my cousin and his girlfriend's 21st birthdays. The Old Spaghetti Factory is one of my favorite restaurants! Here are a few pictures I posted on Instagram last night from dinner, in case you didn't see them already.

One half of the table at dinner.

There was a guy there making balloon animals for the kids. Jackson got a blue puppy. :-)

A quick family shot after dinner. :-)

Today I'm off work and just enjoying some time at home with Jackson. I hope to get some housework done as well. :-)

So that was our weekend. I hope yours was great as well.
