June

Our June has been jam packed so I thought I would just do a little recap to highlight all the fun we've been having this month.

Lots of baseball for Jackson! He's playing on 2 different teams this Summer.

A lot of Summer Camps!! Jackson went to an Art Camp at the Magic House, then did a few different camps through our school district and then this week he is at Jr. Astronaut Camp at the Science Center! Avery did a Prince and Princess Camp at The Little Gym and they've both had so much fun and have been so brave! Neither of them have had any problems going to these camps where they've neither one known a single person. I'm so proud of them both! Jackson is also doing an evening Soccer Camp this week. He has several friends at this camp with him so that makes it all that much more fun!

We had some fun at Sky Zone one day when it was really hot outside.

Lots of swimming in the pool of course and Jackson can officially swim without his puddle jumper. He's been learning how to swim since last Summer. Just spending time practicing his doggy paddle in the pool whenever he got the chance. Then just this week we talked him in to trying to swim across the whole pool because we thought he could do it and he did!!! We are so very proud of him.

Avery's Dance Recital has been a huge highlight from this month and she did SO good.

Avery with her 3 teachers.

The Dad's did a special dance to "Men In Black" which was so very cool!!

And the finale was GREAT!!

We also went to Hermann, MO for a little day trip for my Mother-In-Law's 60th Birthday. It was such a fun day!

Jake and I went on a Float Trip/Camping Trip last weekend with some parents from Jackson's school. SO much fun!

And last Sunday we had a little 40th Anniversary party for my parents after church which was such a fun surprise for them. ♥

So those are the highlights from our busy June!! It's been a great one with only a few days left in the month!

Let's Play Ball!

In early June, Avery had the last game of her first season of T-Ball, so I brought my camera along. She got her first medal and was so excited. Jackson had a game right after Avery's so I took a few pictures of his game too! They play for the same league so it was a whole morning of baseball and it was so much fun!

Avery's First Dance Recital

Avery's first Dance Recital is tonight and we're SO excited!! I've been looking forward to this day ever since they told me I was having a girl!! She had her rehearsal yesterday afternoon and she did SO good!! She loved being on stage, which surprised me because I thought she would be scared and shy but she wasn't at all. In fact, she said she wished she could dance the whole time instead of just the one song. Ha! (Let's hope she has that same attitude tonight!) She loved it and also loved watching all the other dancers perform while we waited.

Here are the professional recital pictures they took a few weeks ago and a few I took yesterday from their rehearsal. I'm so proud of her!!

And here's just a little clip from rehearsal yesterday! So cute!!

West Palm Beach Vacation: Day 7

Day 7 was Friday and our last full day in Florida. My parents, Jake and I and the kids all drove 2 1/2 hours north that morning to visit Kennedy Space Center for the day. My nieces decided that a day relaxing at the rental house sounded better so they opted to stay back. Ha!

We decided to go to KSC because Jackson is really into learning about Space! I will say that we all had fun and there a few things special for the kids to do, however, for the most part it was over Jackson's head and a little too much information for him. Both he and Avery got bored during parts of it so I sort of wish we would have waited a couple more years to take the kids there. Us adults really enjoyed it though and the kids did enjoy parts.

This building is ginormous. They said a regular sized car could actually fit on one of the stripes on the flag, that's how big this building is. It's hard to tell just how massive it is.

The pictures don't do this rocket ship justice. It was HUGE!!!

Jackson touching a piece of the moon.

This little see-thru tunnel was high above the main level of the building. The picture doesn't do it justice.

After we got back from Kennedy Space Center, we ordered pizza from Pizza Lino on Singer Island. We ate and then got packed so that we could be at the airport bright and early for our flight home the next morning! We had a great trip!
