A Trip to the Splash Pad

Yesterday, my sister invited Jackson and I to go to a splash pad over by her house. So since I was off work yesterday, I picked up my mom and we headed over to my sister's house for lunch and to enjoy the splash pad. We had a great time and the kids had a lot of fun!! Here are some pictures from our day.

Jackson and I at the Splash Pad.

Jackson and Mason playing in the water.

Jackson had so much fun, he crawled and walked all around, just like the big kids.

My nephew Landon, playing in the sprinklers with the 2 little boys my sister watches.

Jackson wants to be big so bad. He just watched the bigger kids run around and wanted to run so bad.

Once Jackson finally warmed up to getting the water in his face, he kinda liked it. ☺

My nephew Landon.

He had so much fun!

We had a great time at the splash pad. We will have to go back soon. ☺

Jackson's 40 Week Pictures!

Jackson is 40 weeks old now! I can't believe we are at 40 weeks already!

He had his 9 month check-up on Saturday and weighed 22 lbs. 13 ozs. He measured 29 3/4 inches long. He is in the 90th percentile for both weight and height. Its safe to say he's a BIG boy! His pediatrician joked by saying the St. Louis Rams should be calling us any day now, Ha! His appointment went well. He is very healthy and doing great. The Dr. couldn't believe he was walking already! Thankfully he didn't have to get any shots this time around. He goes for his next check-up at 12 months.

He's walking really well now days. He can even hold things in his hands and walk around without falling and he can get back up after falling down without having to crawl over to something to pull himself up! He's so determined!

He's not really doing anything new since last week. He's still mostly saying Mama, Dada and Baba, but he will also say Num Num now.

We tried getting him to sleep 8 hrs. through the night without a bottle the last 2 nights. (His pediatrician said he should be sleeping 8 hours now without a bottle) So far, so good. The first night I gave him an 8 oz. bottle at around 9:30 and he fell asleep with that. He slept til around 2 and I got up to try and just rock him back to sleep, but he was not having any part of that. He cried for about 15 minutes before I put him back in his crib to cry it out. He only cried for about 10 more minutes and slept the rest of the night until close to 10 the next morning!!! The next night, (last night) he fell asleep at around 9, while taking his bottle. He woke up at around 2 again and he let me rock him right back to sleep with no crying. ☺ Then he woke up at around 5 (8 hours after eating) so I went ahead and gave him a bottle and he went right back to sleep and was still asleep when I left for work this morning at 7:15. My mom said he actually ended up sleeping until 9:20 this morning. So I think he's doing really well and hope to cut that 2 a.m. wake-up, out of his routine soon.

He's still wearing mostly 18 month clothes now, although I bought him a few pairs of 2T pajamas from Target, so he'd have a little room to grow, and they are a little big, but not too bad. Here he is wearing a pair.
We are having so much fun with him and I just can't squeeze him and kiss him enough! He's probably going to get sick of all the hugs and kisses, but I don't care. ;-)
