Our 10 Year Anniversary Trip to Washington State: Day 4

Tuesday morning, Jake and I went sailing. Jake had reserved a sailing trip for us with Captain Nat. It was our first time on a sail boat and it was a lot of fun. We both got to help and learn a little bit about sailing.

After sailing, we went and had lunch at a little outdoor pizza stand. I wish I could find the name of it, but I'm not having any luck. :-( After that, we went over to the grocery store to get a few things for later in the week. That evening Jake had another whale watching excursion planned for us in hopes of seeing some killer whales, which was their expertise.

It was such an amazing evening, one I will never forget. Not only did we see one pod of killer whales, but another pod met up with them and they put on an amazing show for us. We happened to catch them at dinner time and they were very active. We were definitely at the right place at the right time. :-)

After seeing the killer whales, the captain took us by the Patos Island Lighthouse which has an amazing photo opportunity with Mt. Baker in the background!

As he drove along the shore of Patos Island, he spotted this Eagle's Nest.

After getting back from our amazing whale watching trip, we went to Mijitas for dinner, which was very good. Then after dinner we went back to the resort, which looks beautiful at night!

It was another wonderful day on Orcas Island.
