I'm Told I Love Football!

I saw this on Pinterest a couple weeks ago and thought it was so fitting for Jackson. He needs this shirt for sure.

 As I mentioned in this previous post, my husband is a die hard football fan! I mean really die hard. So everytime I see something football related for Jackson, its a must have. Here are a few examples from this past year. ☺ For Jake's sake, I really hope Jackson grows up to love football, LOL.

This is what Jackson does when we say "Touchdown". He will also throw a ball down if he has one in his hands. Then he claps and says Yay! Ha!

Over the weekend I found this super cute winter hat. It came with little mittens too. ☺ Jackson needed a winter hat so when I saw this one, I just had to buy it for him. He looks so cute in it. 

This coming weekend, we are going to Jake's aunt and uncle's house for an early Thanksgiving celebration with Jake's mom's family. We do this every year and switch off between going to Kansas City and them coming to St. Louis. This year we'll be in KC, and Sunday everyone is going to the Chiefs game. Jackson and I opted out of going to the game because he's still so little and I wasn't sure how the weather would be, (Arrowhead is an outdoor stadium) They will be tailgating before the game though, so weather permitting, Jackson and I will be tailgating with everyone and then going somewhere kid friendly in KC. (If you have any suggestions, let me know.) So this will be Jackson's first time at/outside of Arrowhead Stadium. His cute little football hat will come in handy. I will be sure to post pictures next week. ☺

A Fun Little Photo Shoot

Thanks to Holly, last weekend I had my first photo shoot for someone that wasn't friend or family. It was so much fun and went very well. Thanks again Holly!! 

The co-worker of Holly's wanted some pictures of her grandsons, just playing at her house. The boys are so cute and sweet... they made my job very easy. ☺

This was a pretty simple thing to do, and I'm really happy with the way it turned out. 

I saw this one on Pinterest and new I could try and make one for my own house. I made a much simpler one for our living room gallery wall when I first added the gallery, but I just used a simple font from word with no color. So I thought this idea was much cuter. I used PicMonkey to make the new one and then just had it printed at Walgreen's since I'm all out of ink in my printer right now. ☺

I changed up the font and added the date that Jake and I started dating, to fill up more white space. Plus the little saying at the bottom says "first comes love" so I thought that date should be on there! Here's my version, before printing and framing.

And here it is printed, framed and hanging on the wall! I love it and it was super easy!

So easy in fact, that I made one for my sister too, and I just might make a few more and frame them for Christmas gifts!

Thankful Thursday

I had seen on Facebook, and maybe you have too, where people write something they're thankful for each day during the month of November. I had never done this before, but decided to try it this year. I have SO much to be thankful for. So in case you don't follow me on Facebook, here are the things I have listed so far this month that I am so very thankful for! 

Day 1: First and foremost, I am so thankful for God's mercy and love. Without that, nothing else matters.

 Day 2: I'm so thankful for my healthy, beautiful, sweet Jackson! He is such a blessing to me and I can't thank God enough for him.

 Day 3: I'm so thankful for my wonderful and supportive husband.

 Day 4: I'm extremely thankful for my loving parents and mother in law. They are so great and so supportive!

 
Day 5: I'm so thankful for the best sister a girl could ask for, 3 wonderful bro. in laws and 2 wonderful sister in laws.

Day 6: I'm so thankful for my church and church family. I really don't know what I'd do without them!

 Day 7: I'm thankful for a great job with wonderful co-workers!

Day 8: I am so thankful for my extended family; Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins! I am so very thankful to have grown up in a family where I've been able to be close to so many of my extended family. I love you all!!

  

What I'm Loving Wednesday!

I haven't done "What I'm Loving Wednesday" in a while, so I thought I would join in today. ☺

♥ I'm loving that I had 2 super fun photo shoots this past weekend, thanks to Holly!! Pictures to follow soon!

♥ I'm loving that I can get Jackson's hair in a little mohawk now!☺

♥ I'm loving that I am getting my hair cut and colored this Saturday! I need it so bad.

♥ I'm loving that we've been brushing Jackson's teeth for a couple months now and he really loves it. He even gets excited about it when he sees the toothbrush and toothpaste!

♥ And, as always, I'm loving my boys!

Hi Blogger Friends

I have a quick blogger request for some of you. I had this same problem too, and didn't even realize it until Holly told me about it and I quickly researched how to change it.

 There is a special setting that you have to go into Blogger to set, to allow people to respond to your comments by e-mail. So many times I get such a sweet comment on one of my blog posts and I go to reply to their comment, and come to find out they don't have their e-mail linked and I don't have a way to respond and say thank you. There is a tutorial here on how to change this setting in Blogger.

Jackson's 12 Month Post

I had originally planned on taking Jackson's picture monthly, throughout his second year, and still buy a new piece of fabric every month for a backdrop. But my sister gave me the idea to take his monthly picture using the quilt she is making for him as a back drop. It is squares of all the fabrics I used from his first year weekly pictures. Its not done yet, but she had enough of the squares sown together for me to take his picture with it. ☺ So here is his 12 month picture and stats!

Jackson went for his 1 year check up today at the Pediatrician. He weighed 25 lbs. 3 ozs. and measured 32" tall! He's in the 90th percentile for weight and 95th percentile for height. She said he's walking great and looked very healthy, other than the cold and ear infection he has. :-( So she put him on a stronger antibiotic than the last one he had. Hopefully that takes care of it!  He had to get 3 shots that he would normally get at a year and then he also got the first of 2 rounds of the flu shot. He has to go back in 4 weeks and get the second round. And if that wasn't bad enough, he also had to get his finger pricked so they could check his iron levels. My poor baby was so upset that he took a very long nap today. Thankfully, he was his happy self when he woke up! 

After he turned one, we started giving him a little bit of whole milk by mixing it in with his formula. He took to it really well and is now taking 3 eight ounce bottles of whole milk a day, along with 3 main meals and a few snacks in between. :-) He's a great eater and loves vegetables, fruits, eggs, bread, chicken nuggets, little pieces of hot dog, grilled cheese, pancakes and waffles, veggie straws and applesauce.

He's not saying very many words yet, but he talks baby talk all the time now and its so cute. Its like his own little language. I really wish I knew what he was saying. Ha! The actual words he does say are: Dada, Momma, Bye Bye and he says Yay when he claps his hands. He will put a phone up to his ear and say hi or even hello sometimes. He also tries to say touchdown, but its more like "Ta". He will throw the ball down and we all say "Touchdown"! He lifts his hands in the air when we say TaDa and he says TaDa with us! He also lifts his hands in the air when they say "Blast Off" on Little Einsteins! He just recently started coming over to me and laying his head on my leg or arm and saying Awww! It melts my heart every time.

He still has the 4 top middle teeth and 4 bottom middle teeth. The Dr. said today he may start to get molars soon. I'm not looking forward to that. :-(

He loves to watch anything on Nick Jr. or Disney Jr. His favorite show right now is probably Backyardigans. He dances when he hears music by waving his arms around! ☺ We have a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Wonder Pets C.D. for our cars and if he's in the car and starts to get fussy, we just play one of those c.d.s and he calms right down. He really likes music!

He's a very happy and playful little boy. He's very busy and into everything he can gets his hands on, which is quite a lot because he's so darn tall!! He's so sweet and we just love him so much and are really enjoying this age! He's so much fun and we are so blessed to have him in our lives.
