Another Ear Infection

For the last week or so Jackson has had a runny nose. He's been super hard to put to sleep and has been a little crabby at times. Then Sunday at church, I noticed him pulling at his ears. :-(

I was off work yesterday, so I got him into see the pediatrician first thing in the morning and sure enough, he has an ear infection in both ears. So she put him on an antibiotic for the fourth time this year. :-(

I hate that he's had so many ear infections. The pedi. said some kids are just more prone to ear infections. She said its just a matter of anatomy. Some people's ears drain better than others.

So hopefully this antibiotic works and he's feeling better in a day or two. I stayed home with him today to cuddle him and take care of him. Plus we neither one got much sleep last night. :-( The good thing is he is old enough for advil now and that seems to work much better than tylenol, so he seems to feel better as long as he has the advil in his system. I just hate to see him in pain. I really hope he feels better soon.

Jackson is 31 Weeks Old!

I'm so far behind on posting this. A week behind actually. Jackson is now 32 weeks old as of yesterday. 

He had a couple big milestones in his 31st week. He began crawling on his hands and knees on his 31 week birthday. And pretty much simultaneously, he began pulling up on EVERYTHING!! The couches, his little toy box, even the kitchen trash can (which didn't go so well). He loves to be standing up!! I guess it makes him feel big. Here are his 31 week pictures.

Like I've said recently, these pictures are getting super hard to take. Gone are the days that I would lay him down on the blanket/fabric and he'd just lay there and smile at me. Now, as soon as I lay him down, he is flipped over and crawling away as fast as his little hands and knees will take him. But, we have to keep trying. We have 21 more weeks to go and then I plan on just taking a monthly picture. Which will be a little easier.

These are just a few pictures of Jackson and I swimming this past Sunday. It was Jackson's first time in the pool. He enjoyed the pool and I look forward to swimming more with him this summer.

What I'm Loving Wednesday

♥ I'm loving that its Wednesday already when it really just feels like Tuesday.

♥ I'm loving this instagram picture of Jackson and his cousin Landon chillaxin at Maw Maw and Papa's house last Thursday evening! 

 ♥ I'm loving that we leave for our 5 year anniversary trip to Mackinac Island, Michigan in a little over a month!! As much as I will miss Jackson and dread leaving him for a week, I am looking forward to a week alone with Jake. 

♥ I'm loving that I get to start on Jackson's scrapbook this weekend!

♥ I'm loving that I learned a lot from the DSLR camera class I took this past Saturday! It was really good to learn a few tips and tricks to taking better pictures and to understanding my new camera a little better.

♥ And as always, I'm loving my sweet, little family.

Our Super Fun Memorial Day Weekend

We had a great Memorial Day Weekend!

♥ Friday night was low key. Jackson and I spent the evening at home. We had been invited to go to dinner with some friends for one of our friend's birthday, but Jackson had a bit of a runny nose and I knew they would be out late, so Jake went and I stayed home with Jackson. I was tired and was perfectly happy to stay home with the baby. :-)

I was able to get some cute pictures of Jackson that night. He pulled up to standing while in his crib and he was pretty proud of himself. Ha.

♥ Then Saturday I had my DSLR camera class at 9:15 in the morning. It was a great class. I feel like I learned a lot and love practicing what I learned.

Then later that day, I took my mom for a pedicure for her Mother's Day present. It was nice and relaxing!

The rest of the evening we just hung out at home. I cleaned the basement and did some things around the house.

♥ Then Sunday we went to church and then went to my parent's house for lunch. After lunch we went home to get our swimming gear because we had planned to go to a splash pad with my sister and her family. On our way home, Jackson fell asleep and it was so cute how he had his hands holding onto the handle of his car-seat, I just had to snap a picture when we got home.

After getting our swimming stuff, we headed to the park. Unfortunately, there was a birthday party, so the splash pad was very crowded. We decided to go to another one that was not to far away, but it wasn't quite what we had in mind. After driving around searching for something fun to do with the kids, we ended up going over to our Pastor and his wife's house to swim in their pool. It was a little chilly when you first got in, but we got used to the water pretty quickly. It was Jackson and Mason's first time swimming. They loved the water!

Later that evening we went to dinner at Chili's with my cousin Travis and his girlfriend Nadine.

♥ Monday, we spent the morning and afternoon at home. Then later that afternoon we went to my Aunt and Uncle's house for BBQ and a little more swimming.

Then that evening my cousin wanted to go fishing, so we all tagged along. We had a fun time watching him catch a fish and playing on the playground with the kids.

By the time we got home last night, we were exhausted!! Now we're back to work today. Boo!
