Jake and I grew up together at the church we attend. We met there and got married there, which I've always thought was kind of cool. :-) We started dating on July 5th, 2001 and dated (off and on) for 5 years before Jake finally proposed. We have a 4 1/2 year age difference between us, which made things kinda complicated when we were younger. Though we had several break-ups throughout our 5 years of dating, we never dated anyone else and always stayed in contact with each other. We had the same group of friends and attended the same church which made it impossible not to see each other. We somehow always found our way back to one another, and on November 23rd of 2006, Jake finally proposed. It was his 21st birthday, and also happened to be Thanksgiving day that year. We bought our first house in April of 2007, and with my Dad's help, got it all fixed up and move-in ready by our wedding day on July 14, 2007. We're looking forward to many more wonderful years together, and are so excited to see what the future brings.
